Step-by-Step System Walk-Thru
When you first connect to SoftTouch, you will be asked to enter your user-id or hold on the line to create a new account.
New account signup:
- If you decide to create a new account, you will be asked to choose a password and then re-enter your password for verification.
- You will then be asked to record your name and phone number at the beep. That recording will be stored for the system operator so it can be retrieved later.
- Once you've completed the signup steps, you will then be assigned a 4 digit account number automatically. You will then be asked to confirm that you've written it down by pressing a button on the phone.
- After signup is completed, you will be played the system rules and then you enter the same steps as after login (see post-logon steps).
Logon:
- You will be asked to enter your password. If you don't enter it correctly, you will be asked to do it again.
Post-Logon steps:
- The system will optionally play bulletins that you have recorded for your members.
- The system will then announce if you have voice mail or not. You have the option to retrieve it at this point.
- If you are the system operator, you also have an opportunity to approve/delete ads.
- The system will then tell you how many male and female callers are online.
- If you have your system configured to force non-paying members to the personal options menu, they will go there now. If not, they will go to the main menu.
Main Menu:
- You will be given the main menu with options to do among other things: voice mail, browsing other callers online, listening to ads, etc.
- At this point, all the features of the system are available to the callers.
