Database problems
The Microsoft Access JET Engine 4.0 should be automatically
installed for you as part of the InstallShield installation of this application
or as part of your Windows 2000 installation. If you experience
difficulty with SoftTouch accessing its database, you will need to install
Microsoft Access, Windows 2000 or any other software containing the Microsoft
Access JET Engine, such as Microsoft Office 97. Microsoft Access JET 4.0 is
required for the operation of this program.
If the application
starts to execute and then terminates immediately without any notice, check to
make sure the SoftTouch.mdb database file does not have its READ ONLY attribute
set.
Hardware driver issues
SoftTouch requires certain Dialogic .DLLs to be present
before it will run. The InstallShield installation of this software includes
the “minimum files” required in order to run the program without
hardware. Before running SoftTouch with hardware, you must remove (delete or
move to a sub-directory) the “minimum files” from the
C:\SoftTouch directory and install the full
Dialogic 5.1.1 driver installation. The Dialogic 5.1.1 drivers are available by
contacting support. The files that must be removed are:
dlgcatf.dll
dlreg.dll
libdtimt.dll
libdxxmt.dll
libsrlmt.dll
ndi.dll
When you run SoftTouch for the first time with hardware and
associated drivers installed, your Dialogic cards will be detected and channels
configured automatically. You are required to configure SoftTouch for the
hardware, however, before installation of hardware channels can be successful.
See “Configuring SoftTouch with hardware” for more
information.
If you see the following window popup, required Dialogic
drivers are not being found and you should verify that either 1) the above
mentioned .dll files are located in the SoftTouch directory or 2) you have
installed Dialogic 5.1.1. If you are still having problems, you should contact
support.

Voice prompts
If the voice prompts were not included with your
InstallShield installation, you will need to download them. Although you
can use the console features without voice prompts, you will not be able to use
the online portion of this application, which is what you are really interested
in.
